Obstetrics & Gynecology: Clinical Research Program

The Clinical Research Program at Wright State Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology offers comprehensive gynecologic, obstetrics and reproductive research. Patient care is the primary focus with a strong commitment to education and advancement of knowledge. We keep current on new technologies and medical advances, offer state-of-the-art care, and work to advance women’s health care through research.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has ongoing and upcoming research addressing many different aspects of health care that affect women. Research may include different tests, procedures, surveys or treatments for certain conditions. Participants in clinical studies are occasionally needed, and studies open for enrollment will be listed both online and in the office.

Clinical Research Experience

Over the last decade, our clinician scientists have participated in multiple local, national and international clinical research efforts. Ongoing research includes:

  • Investigating whether the pregnancy risks related to obesity are the same for gestational carriers as they are for traditionally pregnant women;
  • Making sure that consent forms match the wishes of the donor for donated embryos;
  • Helping women answer the question: “What type of hysteroscopy is best for me?”
