Women’s Health Care

Women’s Health Care is staffed by skilled physicians who are faculty members in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality choices to assist women with their reproductive health. Our objective is to provide high quality medical and preventive health care for our patients. Our Clinical Research Program offers comprehensive gynecologic, obstetrics, and wellness care for women, and participates in clinical research studies as a privately contracted entity. Faculty members also are involved in the training of residents and medical students. Mother and baby with health care workers

Our physicians primarily provide patient services at the expanded new facility at the Berry Women’s Health Pavilion, Suite 4130, Miami Valley Hospital, in Dayton, Ohio. Beginning in mid-July 2012, we will also see patients at the new Wright State Physicians medical building on the Wright State University campus.

In addition, Gynecologic Oncology services are provided at the Miami Valley Hospital, 30 Apple Street, Suite 3200.

We also have a satellite offices at Good Samaritan North Health Center, 9000 North Main Street, Suite 201, Dayton, OH 45415; and Miami Valley South Health Center, 2350 Miami Valley Drive, Centerville, OH 45459 (just off Wilmington Pike).

Our physicians practice in the following divisions:

General Obstetrics & Gynecology

The Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology provides personalized health care for normal and high-risk pregnancies, tubal and postpartum sterilization, colposcopy and pelviscopy procedures, in addition to laser surgery. Pelvic reconstructive surgery and urogynecology are specialty techniques offered by the division. Our gynecological services are comprehensive and provide a wide range of specialized care including:

Gynecologic Oncology

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology consists of physicians who provide medical and surgical care to patients suffering from suspected or confirmed malignancies of the female organs, the complications of the cancer or its treatment and other difficult gynecologic conditions. The multidisciplinary team includes registered chemotherapy-certified nurses, resident physicians, a psychologist, a nutritionist, a pharmacist, a social worker and a pastoral care representative. The division is also actively involved in numerous research clinical trials.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine

The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a multidisciplinary group of six faculty, three fellows, three genetic counselors, six nurses, one dietician and 24 registered sonographers. The division is a referral base for high-risk pregnancies affected by medical, surgical, obstetrical and fetal complications. Depending on the referring physician’s need, faculty members from the division provide consultation, co-management and/or comprehensive care. The division has expertise in perinatal ultrasound and diagnostic testing, Doppler flow studies, antepartum testing, chorionic villus sampling, non-invasive prenatal testing, amniocentesis, cordocentesis, intrauterine transfusions and other fetal therapies.

Fertility & Reproductive Endocrinology

The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility consists of physicians who evaluate, diagnose and treat infertility related conditions. We offer the latest technologies for the evaluation and treatment of infertility problems and reproductive endocrinologic problems, including problems with menstruation, menopause, premenstrual syndrome, breast discharge, excessive hair growth, and other hormonal problems that affect the reproductive tract.
